2008 - Migration of the birds.

The force of wings thrust the chill of the air deep beneath the clouds as they shifted silently through the night; slivers of light glowered beneath them, biding them their last farewell before the fall of the white seas. Food becoming scarce and it was time to move on. Peet's parents perished in the famine; all traces of them discarded by the torrential rains that swept through their land in The Great Storm. Shrouded in darkness, the thick fog fell upon his wings like an iron blanket. The odds were against him but he was determined to survive the journey. Peer yearned for better things.
For the first time in his life, he was alone.
