Bleedthrough (80 mins, Psycological Thriller/ Film Noir)
A man struggling with paranoid schizophrenia suffers from relentless nightmares. But where do the dreams end and reality begin? And when he believes he is being followed by a dangerous cult, is it all in his head?
Completed in only six months, filmed entirely in one week, with a two man crew, Bleedthrough is an experiment in filmmaking. Two Australian filmmakers break the craft down to its bare essentials and set out to make a feature length film with no money, no crew and only the most basic equipment. Persuading other actors to join them voluntarily for the supporting roles, Bleedthough writer/director Daniel James Millar and writer/star David WR Rule have surpassed technical limitations and utilised innovative storytelling techniques to bring their unique vision to the screen.
This is the first of our three Australian Case studies. Looking at how to make a feature film with different revenue streams and audiences. NOT TO BE MISSED!
