Stop-Motion Animation for Kid 2009

Stop motion animation is the art of bringing to life clay or silicone puppets by capturing their movements frame by frame, and putting the images together to tell a story on screen. Films like Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit, Harvey Crumpet and Coraline have used this technique. The workshops will be a fun holiday activity, and give all kids involved the chance to develop their skills in story telling and craft, make their own puppets, meet new friends and build confidence. Each participant will also receive a copy of their animation on DVD.

MISSING WATER

Imaginefly in association with PYT bring you the new Australian film Missing Water, written, directed and produced by Khoa Do.

The story of four refugees fleeing Vietnam in 1980,
MISSING WATER goes inside the mind of one of the survivors.

The present melds with the past as a quiet factory worker relives the harrowing journey when she took to the sea in a creaky river boat in search of a better life. But the horror of the journey haunts her still.

Timely, innovative, daring and moving, MISSING WATER is unlike any film you have seen before.
